陳牧：寡人慾革易時弊，為強國富民之法，先生教我。
蕭凡：臣以為，為政當循六策，一日寡慾念，二日敦教化，三日盡地利，四日擢賢良，五日恤獄訟，六日均賦役。
陳牧：先生之言是也，寡人謹受教。

蕭凡：臣以為，欲知平直，則必準繩，欲知方圓，則必規矩，人主欲自知，則必直士，故天下立輔弼，設師保，所以舉過也，夫人故不能自知，人主猶其，存亡安危，勿求於外，務在自知。
陳牧：先生之言是也，寡人謹受教。

蕭凡：臣以為，身體髮膚，受之父母，不敢毀傷，孝之始也，立身行道，揚名於後世，以顯父母，孝之終也，聖人之教以孝也，非家至而日見之也，教以孝，所以敬天下之為人父者，教以悌，所以敬天下之為人兄者也，教以臣，所以敬天下之為君者也，愷悌君子，民之父母，是也。
陳牧：先生之言是也，寡人受教矣。

陳牧：先生之言是也，寡人知過矣。

陳牧：先生之言是也，寡人知過矣。

蕭凡：臣以為，木受繩則正，后從諫則聖。明王虛心納諫以知得失，天下乃安，願大王從諫如流，去食去兵，信不可去，願大王守信勿失，有功必賞，有罪必罰，則為善者日進，為惡者日止，願大王明賞罰，言行者，立身之基，願大王三思而言，九慮而行，君王之過，如日月之食，人莫不知，願大王慎之。
